This year for Aidiladha, we travelled to Pasir Mas for the holidays. However, instead of driving with our own car, we hitched a ride with Irfan's aunt Cik Emma's.

Ice cream at Gua Musang

We left home at 5am. Despite that, it took us 14 hours to reach Pasir Mas via the Gua Musang route. There were horrible traffic jams in nearly every town en route because of the holiday season. There was even one instance where we didn't move out in the middle of nowhere - well, Bukit Tujuh, - for 30 minutes that other drivers left their cars to stretch their legs.

But it's all good because as you can see above, there was ice cream in Gua Musang.

At Lati

Because it was Hari Raya Korban, many cattle and goats were felled and converted into delicious, delicious consumables. So when we visited relatives, we had nothing a lot of delicious, delicious beef.

Bubbles, she is the joy and the laughter

Irfan busied himself with blowing bubbles out in the yard. Ain and I were conscious of the fact that the skies were extra blue compared to the yellow-gray haze that permeates the Kuala Lumpur airspace.

There was a rabbit running around in the yard. One morning I saw it on the steps at the side of the house, but when it sensed me it rabbited.

We went to few more houses, where Ain played with her cousin's new baby.

Irfan helped Cik Emma bake cookies, known as biskut arab.

Homebound, we took the Gerik route instead of the Gua Musang route. Tok Ma made us a ton of nasi lemak for lunch, so we had to find a place to park and eat in peace.

We stopped at a closed outdoor restaurant in Tambun. Although all the chairs were locked up, we used their tables to set our food. It was like having a picnic, but in an actual eatery which happened to be closed. Before leaving we cleaned up after us and continued home to Kuala Lumpur.
