Cause if it is, it's time to get back home to the starboard landing bay. It's time to find out what happens to people left with the rag tag fugitive fleet and on the Cylon-occupied New Caprica. The last ten minutes of the previous season's finale was quality mindfrack.

Because of the total tangency to the status quo last episode, I can see this being the best season premiere or the worst season premiere ever.

LSO better be doin' his job

The odds are certainly against it sucking.

So say we all.

Update Oct 09 2006:

Occupation and Precipice - A Non-Spoilerific Review

Those were the two most intense episodes side by side ever.

Characters: One of the best ensemble cast ever, where everyone (even minor characters like Jammer and Duck) has something to do that adds dramatic tension to the storyline. There must be almost two dozen regular and recurring characters here and the only recurring character that just didn't have anything important to say that I could remember was the Simon-model Cylon.

Plot: It starts out in media res and almost two hours later, you're left with yet another Galactica-type nail-biting cliffhanger. In the middle of it all - not to spoil anything - everyone is put in a difficult spot that does not all resolve easily. You could draw parallels between the story and Vichy France during World War 2 given some aspects of the show, and you could also see the current situation in Iraq with the numerous usage of the words "insurgents" and "suicide bombers"... only now they are the good guys with their backs to the wall and a gun to their heads.

Best quotes: Most of these come from Tigh.

"Which side are we on? We're on the side of the demons, Chief. We're evil men in the gardens of paradise, sent by the forces of death to spread devastation and destruction wherever we go...."

Not to mention the part where he talks about something looking like a hardboiled egg when it was shown to him. Can't say more without spoiling the story.

It's going to be another awesome season.
