I know, it's been a long time and I haven't finished posting our Pacific Northwest story. Here's the next installation. Just a quick recap to remind everyone where we were: we had said goodbye to Vincent and been handed off to Lilian, who we would drive back up to Vancouver.

Here's Lil, as we drive by Boeing on our way north:

Bye bye Boeing

The day was still gloomy though:

Cloudy skies

Here we are at the border. The Peace Arch park:

Our first glimpse of Vancouver:

Vancouver!

We ate lunch with Lil, but then it started to rain. We dropped her off at her place and met David and Miriam.

Bye bye Lil

Then we headed to our hotel. No point going sightseeing when it's so foggy and rainy and ugh. Some pictures at the hotel (we were upgraded to a suite, woohoo!):

Foggy rainy view
Interesting! A mall is attached

We just relaxed and watched Canadian television for the rest of the evening, opting for room service for dinner. I did venture down to pick up some noodles at the mall (noodles!). More on this amazingly Asian mall later. I'll be back with more of Vancouver!

I used to live in BC many years ago, and had been to vancouver many many times. I even saw the Monster Trucks there with my dad and his friend. It was awesome being 8 and walking through downtown at midnight :-)

I think it was a Saturday, to be exact. When we got to the hotel room, I watched the old Star Trek episode where they fought at the O.K. Corral. Weird what the mind retains after all these years.

with the gloomy skies looming, the best thing to eat is a nice hot steaming bowl of noodles eh? :)

apparently we bring rain to places we visit, but can’t get rain to fall where we live. (it finally rained yesterday – the 2nd time it rained since we got back from the Pacific Northwest).

shane: sounds neat. Monster Trucks and Star Trek. :-)

I loved Vancouver. We were there last year. So much good food. Though a bit pricey. Looks like you had a relaxing time.
