Halloween Shenanigans
All Hallow's Eve, an event that was eagerly awaited in the Renstrom household - at least by one little girl in particular. And this year, Papa said we could get a pumpkin and carve it (after some begging on the part of the particular little girl).
Let us begin with the process of carving a jack-o-lantern. I confess, I have never actually done this or watched this done (other than on television) so I was quite interested in the proceedings. So here's how it went:
Halloween night was, appropriately, a dark and stormy one. We get the children ready for Beggar's Night:
The above photo was taken during the Raya-o-Ween party the weekend before. It was so wet and Yaya too excited to wait so she was ready to go and I didn't get a photo of her before we went out and got wet.
Again, unfortunately we did not get a group photo before we went out. It was so rainy and windy that Vin took Adik home halfway through our route, and Yaya and I braved the weather and completed the route. We got home wet and candied up - of course the sad thing is Yaya will not eat any candy. So what did we get soaked for, huh? Here's the post trick or treat gloat:
And that's all folks! Happy Halloween and a Happy Deepavali/Diwali to all!
