Pacific Northwest: Part XII (Blue Skies on the Final Day)
Finally, the last day of our trip dawned with blue skies. The irony, right? Our final day and then the sun comes out.
Whatever, we weren't complaining.
We checked out of the hotel and decided to go to Lynn Canyon for a quick excursion. But I promised you pictures of the asian mall next door? Check out the food court. Not one western food eating place!!
I was totally amazed that I had come to Hong Kong by way of Vancouver. The day before when I ordered my food, the girl at the cash register had to get somebody from the back to translate my question which was "What kind of meat is in this?" I'm totally serious. Not one word of English, basically! Aiya! So anyway, back to Lynn Canyon. It's got a suspension bridge (like the Capillano bridge but shorter) but the price was right up our alley - free! So away we went!
We crossed to the other side and walked down to the river:
We went back to the cafe for a bathroom break:
Look at this sign:
We didn't see any bears, (un)fortunately. I mean, it would have been cool to spot a bear, but what would we do if it spotted us and came after us? So we said goodbye to Lynn Canyon and decided to make the drive back to Seattle. Just look at the blue skies! We couldn't get over it!
Anyway, we made it back to the airport, and flew home. Habis cerita. I have one more photostitching to show you - be very careful when swimming at Lynn River because there are falls and eddies and people die all the time there, apparently. Not from jumping or falling from the bridge, but just from swimming in the water:
That's all folks! The end of our Pacific Northwest adventures!
